NEW PADDLERS .. COME AND TRY

You are welcome to come and try paddling with us. Just contact the Club and let us know that you wish to try Dragon Boat paddling.

Then obtain a Dragon Pass by registering on this site.

​Paddling for the first four weeks will be free.
Paddle and Life Jacket (if needed) will be provided.

​What to Bring
  • Water bottle
  • Secure hat and glasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable clothing, as you will get wet.
  • Suitable shoes for water sport

MEMBERSHIP
​All paddlers are required to pay an annual fee to Dragon Boat Qld (DBQ) of $105 which allows paddlers to compete at events/regattas and also includes insurance. 

​Dragons Abreast Gold Coast charge an annual membership fee, $168 which covers 
  • the use of our boats, 
  • participation in all training sessions carried out by our fully accredited coaches and sweeps.
  • maintenance of equipment and general running costs.
  • membership to Dragons Abreast Australia (DAA)
​It also includes regatta registration fees but NOT State and National Championships.
